Exciting News: New Alternative Provision at Longmead Community Farm

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Alternative Provision at Longmead Community Farm in August 2023. This new facility represents our commitment to providing diverse educational opportunities tailored to the needs of our learners. We believe this setting will offer unique experiences that foster growth, learning, and development in a supportive environment.

We are delighted that along with collaborating with other Alternative Provisions we have joined forces with The Woodland School and Abavia to offer further opportunities for our learners to train in rural skills and occupations.

Transition to Independent Schools

We are proud to share that Luccombe Hub has successfully moved to Independent Schools from Ofsted. This transition allows us greater flexibility and autonomy in delivering high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of our students. We are excited about the opportunities this brings and remain dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of education and care.

Achievements in Art Competitions

Our students have shown remarkable talent and creativity in recent art competitions within Independent Schools. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the supportive environment we strive to create. We are incredibly proud of all our young artists and look forward to seeing their continued success and growth.

Exam Results and Qualifications

Congratulations to all our learners for gaining Youth Health Champions and ASDAN awards and their outstanding results in Functional Skills Maths and English and their achievements in GCSE Biology, Maths, English Language and Literature and we await the results of this year’s Functional Skills and GCSE’s including art.  We look forward to launching ‘The Luccombe Hub Post 16 SEN Employability Award’ under NCFE in July.

Your hard work and perseverance have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of your achievements. Keep up the fantastic work.

A round of applause for our students who have achieved British Horse Society (BHS) awards. Your dedication and passion for learning have shone through in these accomplishments. Well done to everyone involved and our thanks to Luccombe Riding Centre.

Welcome New Staff Members

I am delighted to welcome some new staff members who have joined our team. Their expertise and enthusiasm are invaluable additions to our community. To meet our new team members, please visit our website at www.lucombehub.com.

We sadly said goodbye to our talented DT facilitator Joe and wish him luck on his new adventures and travels.

Ash has been a valuable member of our team supporting our learners with their emotional ‘roller-coasters’ over the years but will remain supporting kids on request when needed.

A Fond Farewell and Warm Welcome

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved George and Magic.

They will be deeply missed by all who knew them.

At the same time, the Luccombe Hub Farm are excited to be able to offer forever homes to 2 new alpacas and two Valais Blacknose sheep, Shaun and Barry

The 6 new equines including the stunning 18hh Andy.

We look forward to the joy and companionship they will bring to all who meet them and thank all those who have supported us.

Thank you for being part of the Luccombe Hub community and supporting our charity Friends of Luccombe Hub.

We are proud of our achievements and excited about the future. Here’s to more success and growth together!

Warm regards
