Abavia
Age Range: 16-25 Years
Abavia is a dairy farm in the village of Dewlish, just a short distance away from our other sites.
Learners who access Abavia, can gain experience in dairy farming, tractor driving, horticulture and mechanics.
Learners have an opportunity to build a portfolio demonstrating their knowledge and skills in different areas, in preparation for next steps into further education or employment.
Learners are given the chance to engage with a different kind of education here, where they can try new things and explore new interests for future career options. They are supported to reflect upon their own learning and skills, problem solve and celebrate their achievements.
Some learners who attend Abavia, will also attend our Milton Mills site to access other areas of our bespoke curriculum.
We work closely with ABAVIA at Manor Farm Dewlish for those looking to gain qualifications in rural employment. These include a number of qualifications ie: tractor driving licence, fork lift driving, along with hands on agricultural experiences
