The Team and I would like to welcome you to a very special Ofsted registered and inspected Independent Specialist School where we focus primarily on your social emotional and mental health needs; we believe in learning, not teaching, we offer a place for those unable to engage in traditional mainstream schooling an opportunity to come and access an alternative form of education with 1:1 support while still following alongside the national curriculum through project-based work as well as alternative qualification routes. The Hub offers tailor-made programmes to suit every individual. Young people are encouraged to express themselves through a number of hands-on activities and qualifications. The Hub is a safe, fun and inspiring space where young people can develop employable life skills. We are pleased to announce that the Luccombe Hub is able to offer places on our bespoke two-year Post 16 programme.
THERAPEUTIC ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION
Learning, not teaching
We focus primarily on SEMH needs; we believe in learning, not teaching. Children who cannot access mainstream education due to trauma, anxiety and lack of social skills are able to come and access an alternative form of education with 1:1 support while still following the national curriculum through project-based work. We are licenced by Dorset Council to keep our animals for Education and Exhibition (Licence Number 9392).
Our Programmes
